Dr. Modha
Dr. Jignesh Modha grew up in Dubai, UAE. His passion for the healthcare field and helping the community drove him to pursue dentistry as a career. He attended his first dental school in India and earned his Bachelors in Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2013. Dr. Modha had a desire to further his education so he came to the US and attended a dual Masters program at the University of Texas in Houston where he graduated with a Masters in Public Health (MPH – Epidemiology) and a Masters of Science (MS) in Health Informatics. During that time he was also a part of a research team that undertook multiple research projects at the esteemed MD Anderson Cancer Center. Soon after he got accepted at the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA) and graduated with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS). With his diverse education he is able to practice evidence-based dentistry and strives to provide his patients with the best care.
Dr. Modha and his wife moved to Central PA to live closer to their family. When not working he enjoys reading, catching up on TV series, and spending time with his wife and pets.
Joy
Office/Business Manager
As her as her name implies, Joy is a complete joy to our patients and staff! She has been an integral member of the dental team in our office since 2004 and has an extensive background in practice management and coordinating dental care. She looks forward to establishing rapport and relationships with each of our patients.
When Joy isn’t at work, she loves spending time with her family, friends, and animals. She also enjoys baking, hiking, and walking. Joy’s baked goods are beyond compare!
Kathie
Registered Dental Hygienist
Kathie graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2009. She was working as a hygienist for Gaunt Family Dentistry in 2009 and has been with the practice through its transition to Modha Family Dentistry in 2021. Kathie has also worked for 8 years in a Community Dental Health Clinic. She obtained her local anesthesia license in 2012. Kathie prides herself on helping patients feel comfortable and having each patient leave with a smile on their face.
Kathie enjoys being outdoors and traveling, as well as hiking, camping, and reading. She enjoys spending time at home with her husband and three spoiled beagles.
Korrie
Front Office Staff
Often the first person you will meet as you enter the office, Korrie is the smiling face that welcomes you into our office. She joined our practice in 2014 and had previously been employed as a medical transcriptionist for 10 years. She is responsible for scheduling appointments and coordinating patient care. Her favorite part of her job is providing a positive and professional dental experience to each patient.
In her free time, Korrie enjoys hiking, reading, hanging out with her family and dogs, and listening to music. She is married with two adult daughters and lives in the Salladasburg Area.
Valerie
Registered Dental Hygienist
Valerie began her career as a dental hygienist in 1998. After working for Dr. Richard Beatty for 22 years and providing substitute dental hygienist care in many local dental offices, she accepted a dental hygienist position at Modha Family Dentistry in 2020. Valerie loves interacting with and meeting new patients.
Valerie lives in the Nippenose Valley with her husband Chuck and their two teenage sons, Evan and Logan. She enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, hiking, camping, the beach, and serving Jesus.
Wanda
LPN (Dental Assistant, Front Office Staff)
Wanda is an invaluable member of the office with over 30 years of experience in the dental field. She began practicing at Gaunt Family Dentistry 2001 as an assistant to Dr. Jay Gaunt. She continues assisting Dr. Modha as needed in the transition to Modha Family Dentistry and is available for any endeavor to support the office with her vast dental knowledge and wisdom.
Outside of work, Wanda loves spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys gardening, hiking, and travel.
Jessica
LPN (Dental Assistant)
Jessica has worked as a part-time dental assistant at Modha Family Dentistry since 2022. She enjoys making patients laugh and helping them feel comfortable. Her past work experience includes working as a CNA at a nursing home and with special needs children.
Jessica lives in Williamsport with her husband and four children. She enjoys playing the guitar and keyboard, and she is constantly singing as she goes about her day! Jessica loves reading and playing games with her family and friends. What brings her the most fulfillment in life is talking with people about her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Priya
Dental Assistant
Meet Priya, our newest dental assistant who joined the team in 2023. With a bright smile and a passion for patient care, Priya thrives on creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who walks through our doors. She loves collaborating with her colleagues and learning from their expertise, making every day a new opportunity for growth. Outside of work, Priya enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. We’re excited to have her on board, bringing enthusiasm and fresh energy to our practice!
